Women of Faith

So, I just got back from my 3rd visit to the Women of Faith conference in Greensboro, NC. I gotta tell ya, I am amazed and awed by how much I bring back from these conferences every year. I love God and love to see him work. I walk around in my life wanting to be a better Christian and when I come back from a conference, I am reminded that I can be.

Some things that I took away with me:

Let Go - it's okay to forgive
Shine my light - let others see Jesus in me
Unpack my boxes - don't be afraid to talk about the stuff I have packed away

My sister joined me this year and I'm so glad she did! I took a picture of us with my cell phone, but it's very blurry so I can't post it. Once I get the pics off my camera, I might can edit this post!

I just hope that until next year's conference, I will continue to think on and live the messages that I've heard.

Not much

So, I wanted to post something else because it's been a while since I started this blog, but I really don't have anything going on right now.

My family doesn't celebrate Halloween, so I don't have anything to post about that.

My nephew did celebrate his 3rd birthday a couple weekends ago and that was pretty fun! He had a Thomas birthday party and my sister decorated the cake herself. I think she did a pretty good job!

First Post

Well, here I am - in my corner of the world and thought I'd say hello.

I don't really know much about blogging, but thought I'd give it a try. Hopefully I'll have something useful to say although maybe not right now!

A little about me -

First and foremost, I am a Christian. I love Jesus with all of my heart and try to live a godly life. I am married to the most wonderful man in the world and have 2 beautiful boys.

I love all things Disney, especially Mickey Mouse. I am obsessed with the TV show Lost. I am hooked on Facebook.

That's all I can think of for now.
